United States v. Sternquist

January 19, 2007

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PLAINTIFF,
v.
MICHAEL J. STERNQUIST, DEFENDANT.

The opinion of the court was delivered by: Magistrate Judge Sharon L. Ovington

ORDER REGARDING MENTAL STATUS EVALUATION FINDING DEFENDANT COMPETENT TO STAND TRIAL

On January 19, 2007 the Court held a hearing regarding the mental status evaluation finding Defendant competent to stand trial. Counsel have reviewed the report and indicated to the Court that they have no objection to the Court's admitting the report in evidence, closing the record without further evidence, and finding on the basis of the report that, as the examining mental health professionals conclude, Defendant is competent to stand trial. Accordingly, it is so ordered.
